We enjoyed a week with a teaching on 'Hope' from Jim Stier, who founded YWAM Brazil. It was interesting to hear his amazing stories of how God brought him here. Also, it was good to learn about the endurance we can find in our hope in Christ Jesus. Hope in things like money, material things, people, etc doesn't last, doesn't have eternal value. What do you place your hope in?
We want to wish you all a wonderful Easter. The center of every sermon Paul preached and praised in all his letters has the subject of Christ's death and resurrection and the salvation that is ours because of it. It is this one gigantic event that is hidden throughout the Old Testament and proven true in the New Testament that we find our purpose in Brazil.
We're excited about the Easter Service at West Carteret and we pray that you all who are involved have endurance throughout it. We pray that God will send people who need to hear the message of hope in Him and that He will guide you to them to personally reach out to them, that they see Christ in you.
We're also praying for Operation InAsMuch. WOW- what an effect this will have on the community. Remember- the Bible doesn't tell all the non-believers to 'go ye therefore into the churches' it says for the BELIEVERS to go into the world (mat 28:19). We're really thankful to be a part of a church family who puts this into action.
We've been praying for The Intersection, also. This is it, guys. Regular services start after Easter. It is very exciting to hear about how this outreach is reaching out and touching the community. People are going and hearing the word of God. They are being plugged in to a small group and getting to know more about Christ through intersecting with people. People who wouldn't ordinarily attend a traditional style church are being reached. It's good to hear about what God is doing with these local missionaries.
SO- Happy Easter. We're doing well and will be leaving this area on April 5. Then we will have more classroom training in Forteleza and will be off to our Outreach phase in Sao Luis on April 20. We miss being with you all and appreciate your prayers. Feliz Pascoa!

Yummy Yummy in Your Tummy! Well how'd it taste? Will it make your top 10 list of favorite things to eat? Maybe if it was covered in chocolate! Nicholas said he would try it! Joe would definitely put hot sauce on it! We love you guys and pray for God to keep providing you with all that you need to keep reaching the people of Brasil. I can't wait to chat with you live again! We will keep checking to see if you are on!
